A little Kellandis history lesson today.  The friendship of Kelli and I really bloomed in October of 2006 when we had our first real adventure together serving as disaster relief workers in New Orleans after Katrina.  It's where it all began. It's where we first realized just how much fun you could have with a camcorder and silly people.  This trip even led to the first ever Kellandis production, Nola Fun.  So tomorrow, Teiler and I leave, without Kelli (saddest thing ever!) and we travel on our first adventure together as a married couple.  Open road, a motorhome, his parents and us.  We are driving to New York, where his parents will travel on to Italy, and then we journey back to New Orleans, to where we first met.  In fact, the person taking the picture, a mere name on a shirt who we had just met, turned out to be Teiler, the husband.  So it is a 3 year anniversary of sorts.  I couldn't be more excited.  We will be getting some fun shots, even just with our little cam to make some sweet mini vids. Minisodes are going to be our new thing I'm pushing with Kelli.  We have a bunch of random video from this past year that we need to do stuff with.  It's kind of a fun video diary of our life and random creative thoughts and quandries.  So stay tuned.

Bridal PARTY!!!
So it's about midnight.  Teiler is working on getting our sink just right in our place.  Getting settled takes a lot of time and effort.  We have been back for about two weeks and it still feels like we are moving in, but it's fun.  We are loving it.  Thought I would share my three new favorite songs that are getting a lot of attention on my ipod.  First of all the Avett Brothers, especially I and Love and You.  So pretty.  Most likely will get some air time on our next video.  I also love Jason Wade's version of You Belong to Me, which is actually what we danced to at our wedding, the version that is, but it was played live by one of our best friends.  And my other recent find was Priscilla Ahn.  She has a pretty sound, not quite what I usually would exactly go for, but I'm trying to widen out.  This pic is from the night before we got married.  We just outright partied.  Kelli had brought left over party hats from something random, and we went to a park that overlooked the city with it's lights.  The boys played guitar and we all sang and laughed and danced and had a wonderful night.  It was the perfect night.  A night everyone should have before they get married.

A quick snap shot of me and Kelli from the wedding right before I got hitched.  So nice to have her by my side, and never was there a better maid of honor.  And as much as we look like it, no we are in fact not really sisters, but it feels like it anyways.  I'm the older protective one, who is kind of stubborn and moody and she is the cute younger sister who everyone loves automatically. But she is my sister, because without her I would not feel whole.  We work so well together for the fact that sometimes I feel as if she can see inside my brain to whatever crazy thing that I'm trying to explain, even when I'm making absolutely no sense.  And she is not afraid to tell me the truth, even when an outfit just doesn't look right, or I am wrong in an argument.  You need a person like that when you get married, when you are stressed and you need someone to make you sit and realize that you are happy and to focus on the real stuff.  To not stress about cupcakes and hide things that go wrong, because they love you.  To let you hide when you need a break and be the calm steady hand when you are pinning your dress and your hand is shaking.  At the moment this picture was taken, my flowers had wilted, my train had gotten dirty, the peacock feathers had fallen off my shoes, and we had just taken our pictures in the hot sun and I felt melted, defeated and unbridely.  But she knew how to make me smile.  How to make it ok.  And when I look at this picture, I don't remember those things, I remember my best friend, and how much I love her and need her.  And even though I feel like I will never be able to repay her for all that she has given me and gives me, it doesn't even matter.  She taught me that good friends, good family, never really leaves even when they are far away.  I'm happy I found my sister.

Happy to announce that we have finished the video for Seth & McKenna.  A preview is posted on youtube.  Kelli is hard at work on our friend Ashley's video and we will be posting that video soon.  We might be putting some of our fun random stuff up here too.  Video skills don't happen over night and we wanted to show you our journey of video.  So we will be posting video clips soon from our various adventures.  Also, we have the joy of editing my own wedding video.  But for once, Kelli and I weren't really the ones behind the cameras.  We just had our friends video for us and we are going to work with the film.  We will also post a preview of that, but I'm really in no rush to get it done.  We can take our time and make it perfect.  No bride to please, because the bride was me.  Hehe. Here's a pic of me and my hubby coming off the aisle.
