Even though we have been moved in since we were married and the major remodel is done, it still feels like we are still moving in as we get everything up and running.  We are going to make a cute little video of our place soon to share, but until then, and just in case it doesn't happen, here are some before and after pics.  Sorry if some things are messy... We live here after all. Lol.

Our little shack used to be Teiler's music room.  Now it's our humble abode.  Shocking what a little tender love & care and a woman's touch will do right? hahah. Still have some things to work on, but for the most part I absolutely love it and of course my husband who worked really hard at all the construction himself.  It really makes you feel proud and happy when you know that someone you love is capable of so much, and will build you a home with his own hands.

So we can now officially announce the beginning of promotional videos by Kellandis Productions.  Just finished the KMS Photography promo, and very happy with it.  It was such a fun day, like most of Kelli's photoshoots (at least the ones I've been on).  Here's a beautiful pic of Britt that didn't make it to the video, but I love it so much! So I hope you like it and stay tuned for more samples of our different work soon to come.  I'll also be working on a video for this week myself, just to show our newly married life and home.

Wanted to introduce our new clients and friends.  Erik & Lydia are getting married in March.  They are so adorable.  The kind of love that is refreshing, not sickening.  So we are really excited.  It seems that most of Kelli's friends and my friend's are dating, engaged or married now.  So the love bug is the new Swine Flu apparently.  Even our close friend Elba's boy put a ring on it. We are excited for her too! She is actually one of the reasons Kelli and I even met and became friends.  Desiree Durang who took the above picture is a friend and takes great pics too, especially of kids. You can visit her site at http://imagesbydesiree.com/ to see more of her work.

We have a lot of exciting things coming.  Have been brainstorming and letting the creative juices bubble to come up with ideas for everyday videography.  So we will not just be a special occasion company but an any occasion company.

I'm almost done with editing Kelli's promo and I'm hoping it will be up by next week sometime.  I'm running off the adrenaline of my improving skills.  Britt's shoot was great practice for me.  I'm constantly looking to improve my skills.  I've really been thinking about taking a few classes too.  But I did come up with an idea too for this year.  A lot of photographers in photography school will do a 365 portfolio of pictures.  They will express their moods, ideas and improve throughout the year, and watch their improvement.  Well I was thinking about how I could use that in videography, and I know how much I love watching some of the photographer's I know and their 365's.  So I decided since it would be pretty unrealistic to think that I'm going to take a video a day, I would take a video a week and edit it into a cool little something.  We will see how far I can get in this, but I'm happy to announce the idea of a 52 week project! So I hope to share some soon on this very blog. I have my first two videos awaiting me in my book, and I look forward so much to taking them.  Should be lots of fun, and very interesting to see what I can come up with.  I hope to surprise even myself.

KMS Photography Photoshoot
Just went along with Kelli to do Brittany's graduation pictures.  We had an amazing time.  Brittany has changed so much from when we first met her.  The other day I was going through my pictures and she has really turned into the most beautiful woman inside and out.  Kelli and I couldn't be more proud of her and to call her our friend.  She looked so beautiful on the shoot.  We have been wanting to do a behind the scenes of Kelli for a while now and this was a perfect time to do it!!! With Brittany and Kelli my job was easy and fun!!! It always baffles me too how much everything always works out on the shoots with Kelli.  At the destination for the shoot we found lillies that Britt picked up and held in some of the pics, and the doors to the rec room were open.  It was a kind of rundown old building but it really looked great for the shoot.  In the basement we found what Britt called an 80's version of a classroom.  It was panelled in baby blue all the way around with collumns and a checkered floor.  There was an old kitchen in it which was actually really fun to shoot in.  And then then against the wall in the classroom area we found an old vintage piano which we were able to roll around to get the best light. Kelli is so devoted to her photography.  It was a blast to shoot her in her element.  She will literally stretch her little body into the oddest positions to get a good shot.  Oh, and I just realized this is the first picture I have to show off her awesome new haircut! She cut her waist length hair off and it looks great! Totally compliments her spunky artsy personality.

Well, I'm dying to work on editing Kelli's promo and Jeremy & Viri's wedding starting this week, so look for some new up and coming samples!!!

So tonight when Kelli and I were having one of our business meetings, and discussing our prices and such, it just sort of made me smile.  It shot me back to the first time we met and the how far we have come, not only in our friendship, but in our life.   Whenever we needed some extra money we would work as waitresses for a catering company, usually at weddings.  As we would sit and eat dinner on our break, we would be at the end of the table from the vendors. Now, we get to be them.  In no way has this taken away our humility though.  I think that both of us would go back to that job no problem.  We have always had fun together, whether it be work or otherwise.  And when the other is around, things are easier because we work as an amazing team.

Teiler has been so amazing through this.  Not only supportive and helping me through the revamp of my computer, researching and downloading a new editor, and more, but we are going to make a little commercial type compilation of all of our weddings and videography work to show what we are capable of, and just so we don't run into any copyright laws, my talented musician husband is going to make a song for us.  We are so excited! Yay for technology and progress in our tiny company.

How fun!!! It's all starting to feel so real! We are having a lot of learning and transitioning our fun little pass time into a little side business.  We are hoping it will start to pick up in the next year.  So if any of you know anyone looking for videography needs, make sure you point them in our direction.  These next few months will be full of marketing and getting everything set up. We are working on ways to edit together even though me and Kelli live an hour away from eachother.  Surprisingly, it looks like it is doable, thanks for a very technical genius husband! He has been super helpful through all of this.

Also, check out our new video teaser of Jeremy & Viri's wedding.  Teiler actually edited it with our new program we got for our PC.  We also use imovie but only Kelli has the MAC.  Also, something we are working on, a program that does what we need but can be used on Kelli's MAC and my PC.  Oh the world of technology.  How it blesses and vexes. Well, Jeremy and Viri's time lapse of their reception turned out great! Can't wait to add it to their work.  There will be a real video sample of their wedding up soon.  Gonna get started on working on it this weekend, now that we have our new program.  They really wanted the taking of their video to be covert if at all, to not make others uncomfortable.  In fact, I don't think they even knew that we did the time lapse.  It was hidden in a tree.  Hope you all like it.  More to come...

Nothing much new to report here. I had a cold that is lingering. It's been raining, and we don't get cell reception in our little pad, you have to go outside. So cold, no cell reception and rain means basically being cut off from real conversations. Plus not doing the normal chores I would, so doubling it this week. So hopefully we will get back into our good routine this week.

Hope you are all enjoying the new vamped site. It is basically finished, just a few small details left. We had been wanting to upgrade it so badly and now we feel a little better about it. We finally found a little time and we had one of our "business meetings." Basically Kelli and I skype and talk a little about videography or photography and our sites and then catch up or work on our comps on things but with eachother there. It's like having her here. Living apart from your best friend by even an hour is hard and it's our little way of seeing eachother. It helps a lot. Makes her not feel so far away when I can see her reaction and act like we're together working.

Just got an ipod touch and am so crazy about it. Teiler too. As I am typing he is playing on it next to me. It blows my mind though. How such a little thing can do so many cool things!

So my new song recommendation is by Cat Power. Love her! and i just found this song baby doll when we got the ipod and i just love it! The song I wanted to recommend was Old Dirt Hill by Dave Matthews Band but they didn't have it on sadsteve so look that one up yourself. You won't be dissappointed. Here are some more pics from our camping adventures back in November. Just love them and thought I would share.

So we just found out that there are all kinds of cool new things we can do with out site. So please hang in there while we make some needed changes. Also. click on the picture and enjoy my song recommendation. Sadsteve will pop up. How cool is that? I love learning new things! Well it's off to bed for me. Done a lot of needless work on the site and it's time for some relaxment. Hope you like the new additions to the site. We realize it might be a little hard to use until we get all the links up, so thanks for your patience!

Had quite an eventful weekend. We had a blast at Jeremy & viri's wedding. They are so fun and beautiful. Easy to shoot the video. It didn't even feel like work. Kelli did the pictures, soon to be up on her site, and they are quite amazing. Can't wait to edit it all together, and I'm even sure it won't take long...We've picked up a few songs that will work really well for their video. So far I'm loving the two songs they picked, Ben Harper's Forever and Breathe In by Pearl Jam, which is what they danced too.

I think as I'm getting older I'm becoming more and more like Kelli. She started me on her list thing years ago. I feel like I can't accomplish a task now unless I have a list and am able to highlight it when I'm done. I have them everywhere. And post its. I used to tease Kelli about her post it obsession, and it was the first thing I would look at when I entered her room. But I am dependent on that kind of organization now too. I just got a notebook all ready for videography, even has detailed notes for the clients we have now and room for the futures. Very exciting for me. My favorite part is in the back, I have a list of potential songs to be used for inspiration and for videos. Like I've stated before music is imporatnt in helping the moments along, and even more imporant in inspiring me and Kelli.  The best ideas we have had are when we hear a good song and figure out what it would be good for in a video.

This weekend I have a special surprise for Kelli. Spent a lot of time yesterday making her and I vintage inspired hats for the occasion. I feel like a bad friend, we live so far apart and barely get to see eachother anymore, so I have a surprise day planned for her and me, but it is also an opportunity for us to keep in practice our skills of video and photography, so I'm sure some evidence of the fun day will be soon to come.

Kelli and me often like to spend our days of hanging out taking pictures. To try new ideas in photography and videography.  They are some of my favorite memories and funnest days with her.  This is a picture from one of those days. A day that refreshed me and inspired me, as Kelli often does. We had been planning to take pictures for our production company reel for our movies, and it sort of just happened. We found a vintage TV on the side of the road that was being thrown away. It had a table top and wheels so we wheeled it over to a prettier spot and took some amazing pictures that we will be turning into our Kellandis production reel. Stay tuned for that soon...

We are excitedly busy this weekend working on a friends wedding. Jeremy and Viri! Kelli is taking the pics and I'm doing the video. We have been close with Jeremy and his family for a long time so that really makes it fun. Plus him and his fiance are so pretty it will be a joy to work with them. I'm so excited to try new things. Kelli recently did their engagements, so I've attached a picture of theirs. Make sure you check out the rest though at http://kmsphotographyoc.weebly.com/index.html. I know I pump her a lot and it's not even cuz she is my best friend.  I just am genuinely a fan of good photography and art.  Which is why we chose her to do ours too.

We just got back from an amazing camping trip. Went up to Lake Isabella and Kern had a blast. Real camping was a first for me, and I have to say I wish we were still there. We chose a spot with lots of rocks, right next to the river. The leaves are changing color up there and it was cold, but so beautiful. I wish that I could paint, so I could try for a second to recreate the picture in my head, my memories of life. We went Geocacheing. That is one of the funnest things I have ever done! You can look it up at geocaching.com.

Finally, since it has been so long since I have blogged I thought I would tell of a few things that inspire me. First off, for videography and art, I'm gonna put a free plug out there for http://maryfrancesphotography.com and her husband's production company which is called Floataway Productions. They are amazing and inspire me and Kelli so much. They push us to be better and do better, as we are just starting out. We one day hope to meet them and talk shop. But until then, check them out. I know you will be impressed. Also, sadsteve.com and mp3.com. I go there for new music. They always have great suggestions of upcoming bands. Kelli and I are big music fans. My husband plays music and so does Kelli. I... well I just love music, always have and always will though I have yet to become proficient at any form. There is for sure a link between good videography and music. The right song can completely change the feel of a clip and be the difference between a shrug and a heart flutter. As for music I'm into right now, I'm a little behind on my new muic searches so I don't have any new requests but seeing as one of her songs called Reasons to Fall In Love saved the day on the final scene of our last video, you should check our Meiko. She is amazing.

Married life is amazing. Someone recently was explaining their view on marriage to me. Him and his wife have been married some twenty years.  He said that when your dating and your with the person everyday, you're not really with the person everyday. Marriage you are with the person EVERYDAY. But it's all in the way you look at it he said, as with anything new. Some have to iron out the problems, some it just clicks. But to view it like an exciting thing or a huge problem is up to you. He said, when you get a new car, and the engine dies. You could be like... WHAT?! or you could be like. cool! I get a new engine and it's covered by warranty. Haha. I just really liked that example. We are ironing out the kinks, but we are finding joy in the simple things and I couldn't be happier. Life is good. I hope to be putting some pics or even a video tour of our sweet little place as it gets done.  Have kind of been putting it off until we get a bathroom though. I'm pretty much dying to start construction on that. It will make my life complete I'm pretty sure, although I can't complain. After camping, I guess it could be much worse. Haha.
